Mike thanked all those who had attended the annual Flower Festival and reminded all that is always the week before mothers Day and to be sure to visit next year. Al Taubenberger, President of the Chamber, also commented that the Flower Festival was a great event and presented extremely well. Robert Wombwell, CLU, CAP, CFRE then presented a short program on the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC). Bob is the Director of Institutional Advancement at St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls. The EITC program allows for organizations and individuals to direct their Pennsylvania State Tax payments to non-public schools in the commonwealth. The monies are dedicated for tuition support for students whom otherwise would not have the choice to attend these schools.

There are various guidelines for the program but the application is only one page. The Department of Community and Economic Development handles the application and the entire process is completed in a relatively short period time. Bob stated that he hoped all qualified companies and individuals would designate St Hubert as the recipient of their contribution but also hopes that all the area schools are beneficiaries of the program. For guidelines and applications of EITC, please call Bob at 215-624-6840.
